Hot off the easel, I present to you my latest darling model, Mitzy.
I just got the last 2 portraits that are to be given as Christmas gifts out the door.
Just one more week and I will unveil all the portraits I have made over the last few months in full. It’ll be a dog party…A big dog party! Big dogs, little dogs, black and white dogs, all at a dog party! What a dog party! (I’ve read Dr Suess’s “Go Dog Go” to my kids enough to make me slightly insane.)
This will probably be my last post until after Christmas, so to those of you who have found me here, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! If you have a drink in your hand, Cheers! If you don’t, what are you waiting for!!
I can’t wait to show you the full portraits once the holidays are over. But for now…another nose.
Getting ready to frame this portrait of Dylan, the cutest corgi puppy ever!
But then all corgi puppies are cute aren’t they?
Bristol is my latest portrait. Such a darling face…but then don’t they all?
The photo and the painting.
It’s interesting that each new portrait becomes my new favorite. I wonder how long it will keep up. Seriously, look at that smiling face, how can I not love her?
Even pets that have passed make wonderful portraits. This is a photo of O.
I was commissioned to paint O’s portrait as a gift for someone who loved her and lost her. Now her owner will have this beautiful reminder of their time together.
I truly feel very lucky to be a part of this.
The latest of my portraits has been signed and sealed and is ready for shipment. Goodbye Buddha. I’ll miss you.
This completes portrait number 4 and I have 5 waiting in the wings. Turns out this party may just keep on rocking. Whoop!
Looks like the pet portrait business is off to a strong start out of the gates. Here are the current completed pieces and the photographs that the owners emailed to me to use for the portraits.
I even got a wonderful photo of my model and his painting after it arrived in the mail.
